Calhoun County buildings will be illuminated in green Nov. 4-11 to honor veterans. The initiative marks the fifth anniversary of Operation Green Light, according to a community announcement.
Operation Green Light is led by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers. The campaign encourages communities to show visible appreciation for veterans.
“Calhoun County Veterans Affairs is dedicated to assisting all veterans and their families in our community,” Aaron Edlefson, Calhoun County Veterans Affairs Director, said in an announcement. “We offer support with federal benefits, emergency relief, burial benefits, and advocacy. We encourage all veterans to connect with us to learn more about how we can help.”
