WHAT: Trumbull County Metroparks meeting Oct. 23

PRESENT: John Brown, Randy Fabrizio, Steve Maas and Nicolette Darkangelo

ABSENT: Kurt Sauer

The board:

• Will attend the Trumbull County commissioners’ budget meeting on Thursday to request $150,000 for operations in 2026.

• Approved requests for trapping beavers along the bike trail in Bristol and Champion in areas where there is a lot of flooding.

• Approved seeking grants for trail work in the Champion wetland area.

• Tentatively set the next meeting for Nov. 20 because of the Thanksgiving holiday but it may be canceled if there are no items on the agenda.
