Plans for a new shopping centre worth $70 million along Scarborough Beach Road have been unveiled, with a development application now lodged with the City of Stirling.
Set to be known as the Woodlands Neighbourhood Centre, the shopping centre would include eight shops, one of which would be a supermarket, two restaurants, a recreational tenancy, and rooftop parking.
The centre would be built on a nearly 11,000sqm “eyesore” site on Scarborough Beach Road in Woodlands, near the Innaloo Shopping Centre, that has sat empty for more than 20 years.
The proposal is being led by developer Windsor Knight.
Subject to approval, the development is expected to include a mixture of retail, specialty, health, and food and beverage tenancies, with a central public laneway forming the hub of the centre
