Kickoff for the Capital at Nitro game was pushed back 30 minutes after Kanawha County officials moved trick or treat hours from Thursday’s daylong rains to Friday.
Perhaps that caused a carryover, because the tricks and treats kept coming for both teams all night. And in the biggest surprise of all, the eventual winning score came on a safety – the lone score of the second half.
