STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An actress who appeared in “Terrifier” is suing the creators of the popular horror franchise over what she alleges to be a breach of contract and distribution of sexually explicit materials without consent.

Attorneys for the plaintiff, Catherine Corcoran, allege in court documents that she worked under “extremely difficult and dangerous” conditions for “essentially minimum wage,” with the expectation that she would receive “just compensation from the profits of the film.”

Her attorneys further claim that her character was part of the most iconic and enduring scene in the film, which required her to be hung upside down by her ankles for over 10 hours in below freezing temperatures in a condemned building.
