MUSKEGON, MI – Lamar Bradford knows a thing or two about takedowns, reversals and pinfalls from his time as a district champion wrestler.
The senior quarterback for the Muskegon football team used his knowledge of close-quarters combat to his advantage on Friday night, as he maneuvered through the trenches to rush for 211 yards and five touchdowns on 37 carries and added 72 yards passing and one score to help the Big Reds score a late round 39-34 decision over Mona Shores in the Division 2 district playoff opener at Hackley Stadium.
