Charleston’s City Council will vote Monday night to approve a one-time grant of $60,000 to the Kanawha Valley Collective for food distribution in November and December. They will also vote to allocate $10,000 for food at city Parks and Recreation centers.
The KVC works with nonprofits in Kanawha, Clay, Boone and Putnam counties to prevent and end homelessness. The KVC money would go toward the purchase of unprepared food in the next two months. Kanawha Valley
