BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota Department of Transportation has announced its next seat belt campaign, which will go from the start of November through the middle of December.
The next "Click it or Ticket" campaign, part of the Vision Zero strategy that aims to reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads, will go from Saturday, November 1, through Thursday, December 11.
Seat belts are the most effective way to prevent injury and death in a car crash, and North Dakota's primary seat belt law has decreased motor vehicle fatalities, the NDDOT says.
In 2024, 47% of crash fatalities in the state where seat belts were available involved people not buckling up. Unbelted drivers and passengers account for the largest percent of crash fatalities, the NDDOT
