India has issued a sharp rebuke to Pakistan at the UN, demanding that it end the “grave” human rights violations committed by its forces in areas of Kashmir under its illegal occupation.

“In the last few weeks alone, the occupying Pakistani forces and their proxies have killed many innocent civilians who are agitating for their basic rights and freedoms” in parts of Kashmir it occupies,” said Bhavika Managalanandan, a First Secretary at India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, on Friday.
