Guwahati : In a recent development on the ongoing probe into the unfortunate tragedy of Assam’s most cherished cultural icon, Zubeen Garg, the Singapore authorities have handed the singer’s postmortem and toxicology reports to the Assam Police. This marks a significant progress in continuing the inquiry into his death.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the advancement on October 31. He indicates that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) overseeing the case has made ‘substantial progress’, which will help to file the chargesheet before the 90-day deadline. The 10-member SIT has arrested seven accused, all of whom are currently under judicial custody.
