The Mississippi Sheriff’s Association has issued a statement following Thursday’s announcement of 14 law enforcement officers, including two sheriffs, who were arrested as part of an alleged crime network in the Delta.
The FBI announced 20 arrests Thursday including Washington County Sheriff Milton Gaston, Humphreys County Sheriff Bruce Williams, and Sunflower County Chief Deputy Marvin Flowers.
Along with six civilians, officers and deputies were arrested from the following agencies: Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Humphreys County Sheriff’s Department, Sunflower County Sheriff’s Department, Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department, Hollandale Police Department, Greenville Police Department, Greenwood Police Department, Isola Police Department, Metcalfe Police Department, and Yazoo C
