DENVER (KDVR) — Next year will mark the United States' semisesquicentennial anniversary, but also marks Colorado's sesquicentennial anniversary — or 250- and 150-year anniversaries, respectively.
The United States Post Office has decided to honor Colorado with a statehood stamp in 2026, featuring some of the Centennial State's most dramatic landscapes.
The stamp designs were released on Wednesday and include odes to Muhammad Ali, Phillis Wheatley, Bruce Lee and many, many more, including the Declaration of Independence in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary.
“This early preview of our 2026 stamp program underscores the Postal Service’s commitment to celebrating the artistry and storytelling that make stamps so special,” said Lisa Bobb-Semple, the organization’s Stamp Services direct
