REDDING, Calif. - The date for the jury trial of the man authorities say used a crossbow to shoot and kill another man on Labor Day in Redding has been scheduled for early next year.
The Shasta County District Attorney's Office says Glen Den Stevenson faces the charge of murder with an enhancement for using a deadly weapon in connection with a fatal crossbow shooting that took place September 1.
On Thursday, Stevenson appeared in Shasta County Superior Court and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. His jury trial is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. on January 6, 2026.
The District Attorney's Office announced that a settlement conference is scheduled for December 8, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., and a trial readiness hearing is set for December 31, 2025, at 8:15 a.m.
