KOCHI: Businessman Mohammed Sharshad, who was arrested in a financial fraud case, has been remanded for 14 days. He was remanded by the Ernakulam ACJM court. The police informed the court that there are more accused in the case and that Mohammed Sharshad needs to be taken into custody and questioned. The decision is to file a custody application on Monday.

However, Sharshad alleged that the reason for the arrest was political enmity and that the Chief Minister's Political Secretary P Sasi was behind it. Sharshad told the media about this while being taken away from the court by the police.
