One supporter of the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show is $144,640 richer thanks to the new Fair Fortune 50/50 draw.

The new partnership between Norfolk Fair and six other local fairs in Binbrook, West Niagara, Paris, Ancaster, Caledonia, and Rockton saw fair officials and participants watch as online sales numbers continued to skyrocket to $289,280 throughout the fall fair season.

“We’ve been working together in a lot of ways, which is great,” Angela Hogeveen, general manager of the Norfolk County Agricultural Society, which operates the Norfolk Fair, said about the partnership. “It was proposed by the manager of the Caledonia Fair and is a model under raffle regulations. Some hospitals have done it with great success across the province.”
