Shillong, Nov 1: A training programme on natural farming was organised for community resource persons (CRPs) or Krishi Sakhi in West Khasi Hills district under the National Mission on Natural Farming.

The five-day training, which concluded yesterday, was organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Khasi Hills, Nongshillong in collaboration with District Horticulture Office, Nongstoiñ and District Horticulture Office, Mairang.

The training was aimed to empower and encourage CRPs in coordinating, disseminating, guiding and assisting farmers at the village levels on sustainable farming practices.

During the training programme, steps to achieve the mission were highlighted as well as the core principles and practices of natural farming along with demonstrations on preparing of on-farm base
