The sunrise on the last day of October was vibrant with colors of red, pink and orange. I remember the old saying, “Red sky in morning, sailor take warning.” That often is a precursor of a storm offshore heading toward landfall.

And naturally we had a wet weather system that was approaching our ocean beaches with light rain midday Friday. As of writing Friday afternoon it appeared the really wet stuff might hold off for the trick-or-treaters but then again, the northern parts of the county may have had some light rain.
