LIMA — A gunfight during a traffic stop Friday night left multiple people injured, according to Lima city officials.
Around 10:44 p.m., a Lima police officer conducted a traffic stop near St. John’s Avenue and Second Street. Shots were fired from the stopped vehicle and a gunfight ensued, officials said.
One officer and multiple occupants of the vehicle sustained gunshot injuries and were transported for medical treatment.
No fatalities were initially reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
