BLO training for SIR started from November 1 in Kolkata.

In West Bengal, the Election Commission began the training programme for BLOs (Booth Level Officers) on Saturday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). During this, several BLOs protested against the administrative and security arrangements and demanded proper documents and security. They said that during the training, their attendance at schools is not being recorded, and their duty as BLOs is not being considered as on-duty.

The SIR in the state will be conducted from 4 November to 4 December. During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will go door-to-door to verify voters and fill out forms. BLO training will continue until 3 November.
