TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (WHNT) - A person in custody at the Tuscumbia Police Department died on Friday, police said.

Tuscumbia Police said the person was found unresponsive and lifesaving measures were attempted but the person later died.

The person who died was not identified.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation will investigate the death, which is standard policy.
