Iam writing to Rep. Pete Stauber in response to recent claims about the government shutdown. The American people deserve facts, not talking points:

“Clean continuing resolution” — The House proposal was not clean. It contained partisan riders. A true clean CR simply extends current funding.

“$1.5 trillion for free healthcare for illegal immigrants” — False. No proposal includes free health care for undocumented immigrants. The debate is about preserving ACA subsidies and Medicaid for citizens and legal residents. People like my son and his 2-year-old daughter who just lost his job and depends on these funds, and my brother who is in failing health and depends on these funds!

“Climate and DEI initiatives in foreign countries” — Very misleading. You're weaponizing these claims for uneduca
