BENTON COUNTY — A Warsaw man is accused of setting a woman on fire Friday morning.
Connor Michael McLaughlin, 24, is charged with first-degree domestic assault in Benton County.
A probable cause statement says McLaughlin and the victim first got into a verbal argument. When the victim tried to leave the residence McLaughlin reportedly threw rubbing alcohol on her and set her on fire. The victim rolled on the ground to extinguish the flames. She was flown to a Kansas City-area hospital for further treatment.
McLaughlin is being held on a $250,000 surety bond at the Benton County Jail. No court dates are currently scheduled.
