Lloyds Bank has outlined the eligibility rules for a £200 bonus payment being offered to customers. The bonus can be claimed when switching to one of several accounts with the bank. However, certain groups are not eligible for the bonus.

A customer reached out to Lloyds via social media as they were interested in the offer. They were keen to switch over their joint account with their wife, which they currently hold with Halifax. In response, Lloyds explained that unfortunately they would not qualify for the offer.

The bank said: "You won't qualify if switching from Halifax/Bank of Scotland, to an existing Lloyds account, or if you've had a switch bonus since Apr 2020. A full switch to a new eligible account via Current Account Switch Service is required for the £200 offer."
