SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield teen died in a multi-vehicle wreck on Missouri Highway 13 yesterday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the wreck occurred at about 7:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, seven miles north of Springfield.
A 65-year-old woman driving a 2024 GMC Sierra attempted to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 13 and pulled into the path of a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado.
The driver of the Cruze — a 19-year-old woman from Springfield — was pronounced dead by an official with the Greene County Medical Examiner's Office, the report states.
A 65-year-old female passenger of the Silverado suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
All parties were wearing seat belts, per the report.
