GOBLES - For the sixth time this year, Climax-Scotts scored more thn 50 points in a game. And, the Panthers needed almost every one of those points in this high-scoring football playoff clash.

No. 10-ranked Climax-Scotts held off No. 9 Gobles 72-62 in an 8-player Division 1 first-round high school football playoff game at Gobles High School on Friday, Oct. 31.

It was rematch of a Week 1 matchup when Gobles defeated the Panthers 54-32. In this playoff game, Climax-Scotts led 22-8 after the first quarter and led 36-32 at halftime.

Climax-Scotts junior Elijah Bowron had 215 yards rushing on 18 carries and three touchdowns. Senior Liam LaSala added 174 yards on 20 carries and four touchdowns.
