The Colorado Eagles AHL Hockey Team is officially departing Loveland’s Blue Arena, the venue the team has called home since its inception in 2003.

A new stadium in Greeley is set to become the new home rink for the team beginning in 2028, and the Reporter-Herald reached out to fans to gauge their feelings about the move.

Facebook commenters, emailers and fans outside a recent game were largely, but not universally, supportive of the move, with many saying that they were looking forward to new amenities like more seats and easier parking, and that the further distance to the new arena was negligible, or for some, actually closer to their homes.
