Hyderabad: A day after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s statement on halting welfare schemes if the people of Jubilee Hills voted for the BRS triggered a political uproar, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud sought to play down the remarks, assuring that all Congress promises would be fulfilled.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Goud said the Congress government would remain in power for three more years and continue implementing every welfare initiative without disruption. “People need not harbour any fears about ongoing schemes,” he said.
