Redlands’ Kimberly Crest House and Gardens will hold its annual holiday lighting event 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8.
In addition to seeing the 1897 French chateau-style house and its gardens lit for the holidays, guests will see scenes representing Redlands’ early days in “Windows Into Christmas Past,” with costumed partygoers portraying prominent Redlanders of the past in the house’s ground-floor rooms.
“This year we’re imagining an 1899 holiday party hosted by Mrs. Hill and attended by the Kimberlys as well as Redlands founders Frank Brown and Edward Judson,” Gini Watterson, chairman of the leadership council of Kimberly Crest’s volunteer docent auxiliary, said in a news release.
