Agartala, 1 st November 2025: Tensions flared in Kailashahar’s Muslimpalli locality this afternoon following the alleged abduction of a 17-year-old girl, leaving three people injured and prompting a heavy police deployment at the district hospital.

The incident took place around 7 PM in Ward No. 2 of Muslimpalli, under the Chanthail Gram Panchayat in Chandipur RD Block. A local resident Mustafa Ali said that a group of 7–8 individuals forcibly entered his home and abducted his teenage daughter while no male family members were present. Ali claimed that when his wife Jaytun Nessa and sister Afia Begum tried to intervene, they were assaulted with sharp weapons, resulting in deep cuts to their hands.
