LOS ANGELES – A man was found fatally stabbed in an alleyway near downtown Los Angeles and an investigation of the stabbing is underway Saturday.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded at 10:03 p.m. Friday to the 1400 block of South Hooper Avenue and East 15th Street regarding a person down.

When they arrived at the scene, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the LAPD’s Newton Division were contacted and took over the investigation.

Police said there was no suspect description.
