Navi Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) Veteran Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna today announced his retirement from professional tennis, bringing to a close a remarkable 20-year career on the international circuit.

In an emotional message shared with fans and the media, Bopanna reflected on his journey from a small town in Kodagu, India, to competing under the brightest lights on the world’s biggest stages. He described tennis as more than a game, saying it had provided him purpose, strength, and belief throughout his life.

Bopanna paid tribute to his family, including his parents, sister Rashmi, wife Supriya, and daughter Tridha, acknowledging their unwavering support and sacrifices.

“Every match I played in these last years, I played for you, to show that dreams are worth fighting for,” he wrote
