JACKSONVILLE − Billy Gonzales spent more than 30 years toiling as a position coach and passing coordinator, including three stints with the Florida Gators .

The 54-year-old Gonzales will make his head coaching debut for Florida football on Nov. 1 in one of college football's biggest stages, as UF will face border rival Georgia for the 103rd time in program history.

The No. 5 Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC), under 10th year coach Kirby Smart, enter the game as 7.5-point favorites, per BetMGM . But Gonzales made clear of the goal on his coach's show on WRUF on Oct. 30.

"We're not going up there to complete," Gonzales said on WRUF. "We're going up there to win."
