The Ugandan I AM Family children’s choir, which performed in Redlands in 2013 and 2019, is returning to present a concert 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at Redlands’ Trinity Episcopal Church.

The choir is part of I AM Family Ministries, a nonprofit based in Uganda, and the Redlands performance is part of the choir’s “Arise and Shine” tour.

I AM Family provides education and health care for about 300 children in Kampala, Uganda, according to a news release.

Redlands’ Trinity Episcopal began its support of the program in 2013 when that year’s touring choir stayed for a week, using the church campus as their school. Many Trinity Episcopal Church families were hosts for the group, sharing summer activities with them, according to the news release.
