Birmingham City's stop-start season exploded into life with a dominant display against Portsmouth at St Andrew's @Knighthead Park.

Blues produced a scintillaing first half hour and a clinical second half to give Chris Davies a much-needed victory, the biggest of the campaign.

Goals from Paik Seung-ho, Tomoki Iwata, Christoph Klarer and Keshi Anderson - the first three from their much-maligned set-piece routines - were a shot in the arm and hopefully a hint of good things to come.

Davies ignored the criticism directed at Paik and made just two changes to his starting XI, Marvin Ducksch coming in for just his second start of the season and Demarai Gray back after a couple of games on the bench.
