HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A motorcyclist was killed after they collided with a driver attempting to make a left turn on Veterans Memorial Drive, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.

The deadly crash happened at the 12000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive on Saturday morning, according to HCSO.

Deputy Calvin Smith said a driver in a car traveling northbound made a complete stop and attempted to make a left turn onto a private road when a motorcycle traveling southbound collided with them. He added that the motorcyclist was ejected from their seat and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was not intoxicated, and there were no signs of intoxication in the motorcyclist, HCSO said. The driver of the car was not injured, and there were no passengers in either
