LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Laurens County Coroner’s Office is working to identify a body found floating in an Upstate lake on Friday.
Officials responded to Lake Greenwood in Waterloo in reference to a body floating in the lake spotted by two fishermen.
Officers from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) arrived on the scene with their boat, and the body was retrieved and taken to the shore.
At this time, the victim has not been positively identified. The coroner’s office said that a forensic autopsy has been scheduled.
The incident is being investigated by both the SCDNR Office and the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.
