Bhubaneswar : Koraput Superintendent of Police (SP) has suspended Personal Security Officer (PSO) Dumbaru Hantal of Koraput MLA following a blank firing incident that took place at a hotel in Komna area of Nuapada district on Saturday.

The incident sparked controversy, with the BJD accusing the BJP of resorting to firing to win the election. However, after investigation, the Koraput SP took action against the PSO. Hantal’s gun has been seized, and an SI has been appointed to probe the incident. Tags: Koraput MLA Nuapada
