The government on Saturday launched the Employees ’ Enrolment Scheme 2025 to promote voluntary compliance and extend social security coverage to all eligible employees. The scheme provides a special window for employers to voluntarily enroll eligible employees who were left out from employees provident fund (EPF) coverage between July 1, 2017 and October 31, 2025, and to regularise their past compliance, the Ministry of Labour and Employment said in statement.

The window to enroll left out employees will remain open for six months, up to April next year.

Under this scheme, all establishments, regardless of their existing EPF coverage status, can declare any employee they hire who joined between July 1, 2017, and October 31, through the EPFO portal. For such employees, the employee’s
