When London police seized a Draco semi-automatic pistol in the spring, it marked the first time the force had encountered the deadly weapon frequently glorified in rap culture.
The Draco, which holds 30 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and has been criticized for serving no purpose beyond being a tool of violence and intimidation, was one of five guns seized during an investigation that led to the dismantling of a fentanyl manufacturing lab.
Those five firearms are among the 23 crime guns – seized as part of criminal probes – London police have traced to the United States this year, representing 77 per cent of the total seized, according to statistics provided to The Free Press.
That 77 per cent figure is down from 90 per cent last year and 94 per cent in 2023.
