A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with the sexual assault of a child that occurred last week at Golden Gate Park’s Polo Fields, officials said.

The suspect was identified as Dominick Jeremiah Valle-Buitrago, a San Francisco resident, who was booked into San Francisco County Jail just after midnight on Friday on several felony charges, including kidnapping, lewd act upon a child, sexual battery, assault of a minor, false imprisonment and child molesting, records show . Valle-Buitrago was booked without bail.

The assault happened on Oct. 23 just around 5:30 p.m. as a youth soccer team was practicing, SFGATE previously reported . San Francisco Youth Soccer told SFGATE that the child was a player on one of the teams with the organization.
