CHICO, Calif. - Police responded to a hit-and-run involving a DUI driver and pedestrians early on Saturday. The incident occurred around 1:52 a.m. on the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue.
According to Chico Police, three pedestrians were injured when a vehicle struck them. The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended nearby.
The injured pedestrians were taken to a local hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to major. Thankfully, all are expected to survive.
Police identified the driver as 21-year-old Kaijuan Julian of Fairfield. He was arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of the crash.
Julian was booked into Butte County Jail.
