HOMEWOOD, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The contract for Glen Adams, Homewood’s first ever City Manager, has ended according to a news release from Mayor-elect Jennifer Andress.

Glen Adams was unanimously chosen for the role in March by city council members during a special called meeting.

In September 2024, Homewood held a referendum in which citizens elected to change the government from a Mayor-Council form of government to a Council-Manager form of government.

Andress says Adams went straight to work, making immediate improvements in the city and day-to-day operations. She thanked Adams and wished him the very best on his future endeavors.

The Homewood City Council will now conduct a search for a new city manager.
