A 20-year-old hiker was rescued from a snowy New Hampshire mountain as his headlamp and phone were rapidly dying, authorities said.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said in a news release that officers received a 911 call on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 26, about a man — identified as Owen Strommer of Wakefield, R.I. — who was on the upper reaches of the Tuckerman Ravine Trail, about 0.3 miles below the summit of Mount Washington.
