LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Three transit agencies in the tri-county region are offering free rides to Greater Lansing Food Bank pantry locations starting Saturday to support residents affected by the expected loss of SNAP benefits during the federal government shutdown.

CATA, EATRAN, and Clinton Transit will provide systemwide free rides to food pantry locations until SNAP benefits are restored.

Customers can ride any service operated by the three agencies to reach a food pantry location by informing the driver when boarding. No identification is required to receive a free ride.
