MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - A man is facing several charges in Morgan County following an overnight incident.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said deputies tried to do a traffic stop on 44-year-old Carlos Edward Lopez on Highway 231 in Lacey's Spring early on Saturday.

According to deputies, Lopez fled into the Aladdin Mobile Home Estates before ditching his car and trying to hide under a mobile home.

Lopez was taken into custody after a brief search and charged with attempting to elude a police officer and several traffic-related offenses.

He was booked into the Morgan County Jail just after 6 a.m. but bonded out about two hours later.
