Kyler Murray appeared in line to play Monday for the Cardinals.

But, in the end, it’ll be Jacoby Brissett getting the start.

Murray, who has been battling a foot sprain, could still play a “role” in the game, but it is ultimately going to be Brissett who will be under center for Arizona against the Cowboys, head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters Saturday.

“Looking at the week of work today, Kyler is not going to be ready to start the game, so Jacoby will start — obviously feel good about Jacoby,” Gannon said .

“I do want to give it the next couple of days to see if Kyler could possibly have a role on gameday.”

Brissett will now get his third straight start for the reeling Cardinals, who have lost five straight games after beginning the year 2-0.
