KINGSTON, N.Y. — Hundreds in Ulster County were still without power Saturday morning following a windstorm on Friday, Oct. 31, according to information from Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp.
In a press release, the utility said over 17,000 Central Hudson customers faced power outages Friday afternoon and night, with the most heavily impacted areas being Ulster, Dutchess, and Greene counties.
According to the Central Hudson outage map , 2,768 customers were affected in Ulster County at around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, concentrated particularly in more mountainous regions.
The map showed 354 customers without power near the Ashokan Reservoir close to the town lines of Olive, Hurley, and Marbletown, as well as an additional 179 between Shandaken and Woodstock. An area near Minnewa
