The supernatural horror flick “Black Phone 2” moved back to the No. 1 spot on Halloween — raking in a spook-tacular $2.39 million, according to The Numbers .
In the film, which was in first place when it debuted two weeks ago — but slipped to third last Friday –Ethan Hawke reprises his role as serial killer, “The Grabber.”
“Last Halloween, there were probably 15 people that came to our house trick-or-treating dressed as the Grabber,” Hawke told USA Today .
“Bugonia” took second on its opener yesterday, with sales of $1.81 million.
The sci-fi black comedy centers around a pair of conspiracy theorists who kidnap a CEO, played by Emma Stone, because they believe she’s an alien on a mission to destroy the planet.
