PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are investigating a reported shooting after one person was found dead early Saturday morning.
According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), dispatch received a ShotSpotter call, a technology that detects gunfire, at 2:24 a.m., which detected 15 rounds in the area of Acero Avenue.
During that time, police said dispatch also received multiple calls from different people claiming someone had been shot.
Officers arrived on the scene and found one person who appeared to have been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
PPD said detectives responded to investigate and identified the suspect as Darian Cocilo, 25.
Cocilo was booked into the Pueblo County Detention Facility and charged with first-degree murder.
