Republican Representative Nancy Mace was involved in a heated exchange with airport police and TSA agents at Charleston International Airport on Thursday morning (October 30). According to an incident report from the Charleston County Aviation Authority Police Department, Mace, who is also running for South Carolina governor, arrived at the airport expecting an escort to her flight. However, there was confusion about her arrival vehicle , leading to a delay.
Upon arrival, Mace attempted to use an entrance typically reserved for crew personnel at a TSA security checkpoint. Officers reported that she was "very irate" and loudly cursed at them, calling them "f****** incompetent" and questioning their treatment of her compared to other officials like Senator Tim Scott .
